The Spring-Ford Area High School Band and Music Association will co-host the Tournament of Bands (TOB) sanctioned 45th Annual Pageantry of Sound marching band competition on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Coach McNelly Stadium, located on the campus of Spring-Ford Area High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania, beginning at 6:00 PM. The campus is located about 10 miles west of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit #326 (Valley Forge/King of Prussia), along U.S. 422, making this an ideal location for bands to attend in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In addition, the stadium will have a newly-installed artificial turf field just in time for the competition. If you are interested in attending please contact John E. Kingsway Regional High School's 2nd Annual "Sound In Motion" Marching Band Competition scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, 2008. Kingsway Regional is conveniently located just 5 miles from the Commodore Barry Bridge and
only 1 mile from exit 2 of the NJ Turnpike. Since we are only 15 minutes from the Blue Route and 10 Minutes from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, Kingsway is easily accessible from all regions of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. Our show features a newly renovated stadium with an excellent vantage point as well as ample grounds for warm-ups, not to mention a great director/staff hospitality room.     The Conestoga Valley School District (Lancaster, PA) has an opening for an Assistant Marching Band Director, available immediately.  Percussion background is preferred, but not required.     Twirling Coach
    The Kutztown Area School District is currently seeking a coach for the Outdoor and Indoor Twirling Squads. Our current coach will be resigning effective May 2008. The Kutztown School District Twirling Program has been highly successful and is an active participant in Chapter 2 of TIA. The applicant should have knowledge of what is necessary to run a program, as well as the ability to write and choreograph a field show and an indoor show.     The Rockville High School Marching Band, located in Montgomery County, MD has openings for a Percussion Instructor and a Color Guard Instructor for the 2008 season.  Instructors will need to be able to attend at least one rehearsal per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30pm - 8:00pm), coordinate at least one sectional per week with their respective sections, and be available for
    as many performances as possible. Stipends are available for each position and are commensurate with experience.

    Brass/Marching Tech. Position available! The Shippensburg University Red Raider Marching Band is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the following consultant/instructor position for Fall 2008:
    Brass Consultant/Instructor
    This position works directly with the members of the brass section during band camp (August 13-22, 2008). Candidates must have experience teaching/instructing at least at the high school and preferably the collegiate level and must be able to attend camp between August 13-22, 2008.     The Sterling High School Marching Band is searching for the following positions for the 2008 marching band season:
    1. BATTERY CAPTION HEAD
    Writing is optional, may bring in techs they are comfortable with.
    2. Visual Caption Head/Instructor
    In charge of teaching marching technique and drill. Will be able to assist in hiring a drill writer that they are comfortable with.
    3. Marching/Music Tech
    Strong Clarinet or Saxophone experience required .
    1 & 2 should have a minimum of 60 college credits and are BOE paid contracts. 3 & any battery techs are volunteer positions. Salary will be paid by the Band Boosters and determined by experience and commitment. All must be available for most summer and fall weekday rehearsals (Tues/Thurs) including band camp on August 22nd - 26th, 2008.
    Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-9 pm. The school is located in Somerdale, NJ in Camden County NJ.
    Previous experience for all positions is recommended, WGI/DCI experience a plus.

    The Lebanon Catholic Marching Band currently has an opening for a percussion instructor for the 2008 season. Responsibility will be mostly for the battery percussion as there will be a pit instructor for the summer months. Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 pm with band camp July 28-Aug 1st.
